Ahhh, going crazy and a funny little story for you.

I'm starting to think that bringing the laptop with me was a mistake.

See, I follow (subscribe to) several forums on Hot Coupon World, such as the CVS forum, Kmart, Dollar General, Ingles, Kroger, and others, so that I won't miss ANY deals that are posted about free stuff, other great deals/finds, and such.

Well, ever since I got to the motel I've been getting over 40 emails a day about one fantastic deal or another, and it's about to drive me insane. I'm not home, I don't have my coupons with me, and by the time I get back home the weekly deals will be over. :( I am such a mess. LOL

I think I'd be better off not knowing. Ignorance they say, is bliss. I think there is a lot of truth in that.

And I want to share something with my fellow couponers as you will appreciate this little story...

The other day someone came to my house and made fun of my grocery stockpile. They said that having that much food was "just silly!"
My son Alex made me very proud as he replied, "Well, it's like this. For the same amount of money that your mom spends for two or three cans or boxes of food, MY mom can get a whole case."

He left that person speechless with eyebrows raised as if to say, WOW!

Now who's silly?! =)

I'm glad Alex gets it. And by the way, if I think there's any chance I might be shopping, I bring my coupons with me. Even if I'm flying somewhere. Crazy, eh?

Honestly I started to bring them but decided against it for a couple of reasons. One thing was that I didn't even know where I was going to be, or what stores (if any) would be around.

The other reason was because it would give Chris' poor ears a break from hearing about how I got this or that "for next to nothing", or I HAVE to go to (whatever place) because they're practically giving away (whatever items)
I feel like he is probably getting sick of hearing about it by now. lol

That is awesome that your son really gets the whole stockpiling thing. My son is eight and he told my dad I was breaking the law by printing all those coupons LOL! It was hilarious!
