"Not Big Enough"

That's what my son Alex said.

I still need to add the border but even with it he says it's not going to be big enough. :(
I haven't measured it yet but right now it should be in the area of 60X64". I figure with the border it will end up being 68X72".
What do you all think? Is that really to small to use? He says he wants to be able to wrap himself up in it. He is a husky guy at 6ft. 220lbs.

I feel like I've wasted my time. I don't want to make another quilt all over again. :(
What's worse is that the hubs doesn't like how I arranged the blocks. I thought I was mixing things up by not having them go straight across but rather up and down. I'm too much of a novice to make any funky designs or star patterns. What do these two expect of me??? Sigh.
Oh and by the way, I'm sorry the pictures aren't that great. It's just to give a general idea.

That quilt looks great Kristie. I was wondering how you were doing on it. I like the offset square pattern you created.

A quilt to fit a twin size bed is usually around 69 x 90. But the size you made should be big enough for a wrap around or a comfort quilt.

If he wants to lay on the couch and have it cover from his neck to his toes, you'll need to make it a little longer. The width is just fine. You can always add more than one border.

LOVE IT!!

You didn't waste your time at all. No complaints here.

Maybe they should give it a try if they think they can do better? Ha!

It looks great Kristie! I like the offset pattern. For some reason, I think it makes the quilt look a little more masculine (along with the fabric, of course). Ryan took the words right out of my mouth (or fingers, lol). Perhaps add another border and if the guys don't like it, don't expect another one!

oh my goodness, that is pretty! I mean, handsome! lol

I agree that it is simply too small for your boy. Therefore, I am willing to let you send it right over to my house so he won't have to be burdened with it.

LOL -- I crack myself up. Just kidding there. Seriously, though, I admire your talent so much!!

Speaking of which, my beautiful jewelry arrived today, and I love, love, love it. Thank you again!

Sheesh the comments from your guys! ugh...well it would be a great excuse to buy MORE fabric and make a different quilt. :) I think you should add some wide border to this one to make it longer/wider whatever it is your son needs. I like how you put this together.
