In the nick of time!
I went to bed early tonight and woke back up around midnight to find that it was pointless to lay there any longer so,... I got up and checked on my store. Guess what, I made a sale while I was sleeping! YAY.
It's a good thing I got up when I did because only mere seconds after I printed off a receipt to pack up the order Etsy went down for site maintenance. Figures, eh? LOL
The past two nights I spent my time parked in front of the tv and made about a gazillion new pairs of earrings. Problem is now I have to do the grunty-est, most un -fun-est part of selling. Agonizing over getting great pictures and listing each piece with the perfect description. I swear I hate this part of internet selling so much. But, it's gotta be done and I guess it's better than having things where people are constantly touching and fondling them only to put them back on a rack, etc. LOL
Anyway, here is a distorted sampling of some of the lampwork earrings I made. Picture doesn't do them justice but that was intentional. :)

Announcing my Diva Trendsetter Collection
Ever get in one of those moods where you are feeling completely and totally female? You know, "I am woman hear me ROAR!" lol
Well, I must've been in a roaring, clawing, live out loud mood last night and this is the result. I really like it/them.
Sometimes I think I live vicariously through my creations. When I wish I was that tall, thin, model-esque type woman I get in a mood to create pieces that look like something you'd find in a funky boutique on Rodeo Drive. Other times I am happily grounded in the fact that I am a simple lady with simple taste and desires. But, who says you can't have the best of both worlds? After all it is a womans prerogative to change her mind. ;)
As far as this set is concerned I could totally see myself wearing it with one of my bright pink shirts. It would pull the pink dots out of the lampwork beads so awesomely. And speaking of the lampwork beads...these beauties were hand made by a very nice lady in Arizona. She lives in a magnificent log cabin and creates beads in her studio there. I would love to be able to take a tour of it and watch her at work.
Enough daydreaming. I need to get back to reality. Caleb is waiting for me to finish. We are going out for breakfast this morning. :) Have a Happy Easter!!!

Hearts and Roses (A Sneak Peek!)
After working on it for over a week...It is finally done!
This item is composed of more pricey materials than I've ever used on one item before!! It causes the price to go up, up, UP so I probably won't make many large pieces like this one.
It is kind of like the difference in wearing plastic pearls vs. real pearls. Cubic Zirconium vs. a diamond. You get the idea.
In the beaded jewelry "world" you have glass beads and some are more valued than others. Take Czech and MONET for example. More valued than the glass beads at say oh...walmart. LOL
Then there are the handmade lampwork beads (uber pricey) vs. the ones you get in a kiddy bead kit at a toy store. There IS a difference. Quality really does cost more.
Why am I telling you this? Because you are going to have a heart attack and think I've lost my mind when you see the price of the item pictured above. Teehee, At least now you are educated as to WHY it is priced so high. :)
