CVS trip 3/07/09

Total of everything pictured before coupons and ECBs = $58.39 with a savings of $70.20 according to my reciept.
Total I paid in cash after coupons and ECBs was $2.20.
I took another ECB hit, about $3, but I really wanted the cereal and the Herbal Essences shampoo. It's my favorite.

Same as Wednesday, the Perfect 10 hair dye had been $14.99 but was on clearance for $3.50 and I used a $5 off coupon. The three smaller boxes of Clairol Nice'n Easy were originally $7.99 and were on clearance for $2, and I had 3- $2 off coupons.

Breakdown:

On another related note, I made up care packages for Chris's coworkers tonight. I included: Gillette shampoo, Right Guard Professional Strength deodorant, Visine Pure Tears, Earinse (they work in concrete dust so this comes in very handy for them), Colgate toothpaste, a Colgate toothbrush, Listerine mouthwash, Bandaids, Excedrin, Tylenol, bag of Life Savers, Gillette body wash, Fusion razors, Gillette shave gel, Jergens lotion (the concrete dust literally burns their skin so lotion is a must for them also), Tums, and a few other goodies- I forget what else.

All were full size bottles. To satisfy my curiosity I added up what it would have cost to purchase the items in the care packages at retail value, no coupons, and it came to over $80 EACH!
And these guys would have HAD to pay it, too. Out on the road they don't have time to clip coupons and look for sales. When they need toiletries, HBA, OTC meds, etc. They go to the closest store and pay full price. They always are very appreciative of the items and I feel so blessed to be able to give them to them.

We used to have one worker that regularly needed Zantac and allergy meds. I was more than happy to pass along my extras to him. This guy was promoted to a supervisor position so we don't get to see him anymore. I miss that little guy.

CVS loot for Sat. Jan. 31st

I got $98.87 worth of product for only .28, yes .28 CENTS!

My plan worked out SWEET! I was only able to get 5 boxes of Electrasol at CVS, but even so my $/$$ coupon that CVS emailed to me paid all the taxes on it and my other coupons. (THANK YOU SO MUCH, CVS!)
I also grabbed yet another Fusion Gamer razor, a Gillette body wash, 4 L'oreal cleansers, Excedrin, 2 Theraflu, 2 packs of Whiskas Temptations cat treats, and went in the negative!
So, I grabbed a .50 roll of Spree candy and my total OOP (out of pocket) was .28 for everything. I used $30 in EBs and got back $31.49 in EBs.

I then proceeded to WM where they were more than happy to price match on the Electrasol, and were even as excited as I was about having "all those coupons." So, I grabbed 12 more boxes there. I got 17 total boxes of Electrasol between CVS and WM.
I am home. I am officially out of Electrasol coupons, and I am one very happy shopper. Shopping for free is the bestest.

Gillette, Gillette, Gillette

All this for 32 CENTS at CVS yesterday!

5 of the new "Gamer" razors. 4 bodywashes, 1 shampoo. Total before coupons $80.95. My total after coupons was $0.32. I also rolled $20 in ExtraBucks and got back $20 in ExtraBucks, so I did GREAT. And the only reason I had any out of pocket expense at all was because I went in the negative and had to grab a filler, so I grabbed a candy bar real quick. lol (Candy bar not picture because my DS ate it) lol.

And yes, I am back home but that's a post for another time.

Also, my grocery stockpile is coming along quite well! Wanna see a picture of it so far? :)

CVS Jan 1st. 2009, post OP, and other news.

You didn't think I'd miss out on the first trip of the year to CVS to get the monthly goodies just because I had major oral surgery yesterday or because today is my birthday, did you? lol

I confess that Chris went with me to help. I had to stop taking the codeine for the pain as it was just making me sick as a dog! I am taking Motrin IB instead and so far it is doing the job just fine.
My face however is bruised pretty badly, as expected. Oh, and yes, uber swollen! The right lower jaw looks like I have a golf ball in my mouth at a certain angle. The left isn't much better but not quite as extreme. There is no gauze in my mouth either. All of that cheeky action and double chin is pure swelling. ICK. I look tired, so tired, but actually am feeling quite well. I except the brusing to be even worse tomorrow. But, ya gotta look bad before you can look better, right?

Anywho, back to the CVS trip. We got $147.08 in product for only $0.60 out of pocket. I rolled something like $60 in ECBs and got back $10.85 more than I spent. So, another money maker thanks to some great coupons.


I almost forgot! If you remember Chris bought me a Ford Focus last year for my birthday, well that bugger head went to town this morning and traded in the Focus for the new 2009 Ford Fusion! It is what I originally wanted last year. It's bigger, V6, cruise, all the controls are on the steering wheel, the radio shows the name of the song and the artist! It is THE color I was dying for- moss green! Which doesn't look quite as dark as the one in this picture does. It's more subtle. I just love it and it's going to work way better for our family.

The day before that he got up early, left, and came back home with a king size Serta bed for me so that I'd be comfortable after my surgery! Can you believe this guy? Does he love me or what?!
Our old bed was a queen size and we were rolling toward each other and it was causing us both to have bad back aches. I just don't know what to think but I know this much, I better not fuss on him any at all this year! We've never spent that kind of money all at once before. Not to mention the $2K I had to drop for my oral surgery. I hope they keep him in work this year and we don't live to regret getting all this stuff.

Well, I guess that's all for now. As if that wasn't enough, eh?

CVS this week.

I have a house full of (teens) and not much time to post so I'll be quick about it.
At last count there well over $300 in product here. Of course the bulk of that is in the glucometers, 5 of them you can hardly see in the pic. Three Contour and 2 Nova Max. They've already been sent to good homes. :)
Out of pocket was less than $3 and I actually made $11.04 more in ECBs than I spent. Good week!
Next week will be a doozy! CVS has 17 freebies and I have coupons for ALL of them. Just trying to work up the plan is making me over excited! lol

I took a $2 ECB hit to get all of this tonight but it was worth it. I paid with an $11.99 extra buck and only got back $9.99. LOL

4 Febreze Air Effects. Love spraying my bed/room down with this stuff. Makes it smell good for a least three solid days.
3 bags Russell Stover Private Reserve Triple chocolate mousse.
2 bottles Dove Cream Oil lotion for extra dry skin.
2- 2ct. packs of 6 Hour Energy shots. Love these!
1 bag M&M Premiums mint chocolate.

That's $47.79 retail value for $2 in ECBs and .37 in change. The best part is that it is all stuff I can and will use.

"Black Friday" @ CVS this morning.

You are looking at $222.38 in product that I got for less than $2 cash. In fact I paid with $53.99 in Extra Bucks (after coupons) and got back $83.35 in return. So, I actually got PAID an extra $29.36! Now that's what I call a very productive morning.

One thing I like about doing the CVS plans with my friend is that we can trade our stuff. I don't need tampons thanks to modern medicine, and she doesn't use the Soleil razors. So, we are always helping each other out that way.
And the cashiers were all in a good mood today and we talked about how much fun it is to work up plans and see what all we can get for next to nothing out of pocket. It makes such a difference to have employees that really "GET" it and cheer you on. Thank you CVS for a FUN morning. And I am ever indebted to my good internet friend Valerie for turning me on to this hobby. This year our family has enjoyed over $7,000 in free, useful items thanks to you! :)
